April 22-28, 2012
Join us for a wonderful week filled with events that educate, inspire and encourage acts for change to benefit our community and our earth.
The Muskegon Area Earth Week Committee would like to invite you to participate during Earth Week! Let your imagination and creativity determine your institution’s activities!
Saturday, April 28th, there will be a culminating free public celebration and parade at the Michigan Alternative and Renewable Energy Center, 200 Viridian Dr., just north of downtown Muskegon. Organizations and businesses are welcome to represent their functions at indoor booths or tables. Plus, demonstrations, or activities for the public are encouraged.
Please save the dates for your environmental actions! We will post the varying Muskegon County activities on this page and on our Facebook page. This will be a FUN community wide celebration to further sustainability practices.
Your institution could host a speaker, have an eco-concert, display recycled art, or any number of things. Need ideas or inspiration? Online, the national “Earth Day Network” is trying to achieve “A Billion Acts of Green!” Other idea sites include EarthDay.org or Earth Day 2012.
